After the video became public and went viral on social media, the Turkish Football Federation revoked the licenses of the main characters in the video.

An earlier report stated that Turkish referee Elif Karaarslan, 24, was involved in a scandal after a private video featuring her and FIFA inspector Orhan Erdemir, aged 61, was leaked. The sex tape video quickly spread on social media, leading the Turkish Football Federation to suspend both individuals from their officiating roles. Karaarslan was intially hit with a 90-day suspension, while Erdemir was handed a 45-day suspension from football-related activities.
